A shocking conspiracy theory has taken social media by storm after a popular wellness influencer, known as Wild Mother, claimed that the 2024 assassination attempt on Donald Trump was not an act of political violence but rather a calculated campaign tactic.
Posting late Friday night on her verified channel, Wild Mother whose online presence has grown exponentially within alternative health and free thought circles wrote:
“The Trump shot is nothing but a campaign. It’s a page right out of the political playbook.”
The message, viewed over 11 million times in under 24 hours, quickly became one of the most polarizing statements of the year. While some followers praised her for “saying what the mainstream media won’t,” others condemned the comment as reckless disinformation.
The incident in question occurred on July 13, 2024, during a Trump campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The former president was shot at but survived. The attacker, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was killed at the scene by Secret Service agents. According to FBI investigations, Crooks acted alone and had previously attempted to acquire materials for making explosives.

Yet despite the official findings, doubts continue to circulate across certain corners of the internet. Wild Mother’s claim has added fuel to these doubts, coming at a time when public trust in political institutions is at an all-time low.
“Suggesting that a violent attempt on a former president’s life was staged with zero evidence is not just irresponsible, it’s dangerous,” said a senior U.S. intelligence analyst who spoke to Dobblog anonymously. “In a country this polarized, such claims don’t just go viral they have consequences.”
Political experts say the theory appeals to a growing number of Americans who feel alienated from traditional media and increasingly believe narratives of manipulation and staged events. The belief that “nothing is real anymore” is becoming a hallmark of digital-age cynicism.
Interestingly, Trump has not publicly responded to Wild Mother’s comment. However, his campaign swiftly issued a statement, saying:
“The July 13th attack was a cowardly act of violence that will never deter the American movement for freedom and strength.”

Social media platforms are now under pressure to flag and limit the spread of similar claims. But as history has shown, viral conspiracy theories often move faster than facts, especially when amplified by charismatic voices with loyal followings.
With the November 2025 election looming, many fear that the line between reality and illusion in American politics may continue to blur and that influence, not truth, may be the most powerful weapon of all.
